Richard Fine

Lead Pastor

I have been Lead Pastor since the summer of 2020. I am married to my wife Laurie, who is a teacher at Price Elementary. We have three amazing boys who keep us busy. I have served in many United Methodist Churches throughout my almost thirty years of ministry. I have served as a youth pastor, associate, as a church planter, as a cross cultural pastor in churches large and small. I have a passion for creating ministries that meet people where they are and finding ways to help you find a family you did not know you needed!

Emily Wright

Youth Leader

Welcome to Hood UMC! My name is Emily Wright and I am the Youth Leader here at Hood! I am married to my husband, Jason, and we have one son named Landon. I am a special education teacher at Republic and my son goes to school there as well. Go Tigers! I have lived in Republic since I was in 1st grade and grew up here. My husband and I are high school sweethearts. When we aren’t at church or at school- you can catch us at a sport event or cheering on our Tigers! I’m currently working on my masters in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Jason works at Cox Health. In the summertime, we enjoy spending time with family, going to the lake, fishing and watching baseball. We are huge Chiefs fans and enjoy going to games each year! My passion for working with youth ministry has always been rooted within helping students grow in the journey as a a Christian. I had so many memories growing up in youth group including going on camp and mission trips. At 15, I became called to ministry knowing God would use me in some way to help students or children. I have discovered that when you choose to work within your passions, you will work and lead in ways you never thought possible! I believe that church gives all students a place to feel loved, valued, and safe. Students are able to amazing things for the glory of God
