Colette Patton
Associate Pastor
Hello Hood UMC! My name is Colette Patton and I am the associate pastor at Hood. I am married to Brandon and together we have two girls, Harper and Holly! We live in Clever, go Blue Jays! We've been in the area all our lives and love the Ozarks! When we have free time, in the summer you'll catch us at the lake or at least in a swimming pool and during the colder months we cheer for the Chiefs! Brandon owns a lawncare and landscaping company (Double H Custom Lawns) and I also own a small franchise (Stretch-N-Grow). My passion is connecting the church to the community and the community to the church. My belief is that the church is a place where people can find layers of support and that's what builds holistic individuals and families. Church is a place to not only worship God but it's also a safe space to have honest conversations and ask tough questions. Church is where God and world intersect because we are all broken. Church is for EVERYONE!

I have been a member at Hood UMC for 28 years but it wasn't until 8 years ago that I joined the staff as the Office Administrator, I am married to John, who is a pastor at Ebenezer UMC and Pleasant Hope UMC. I am an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, love to go camping and out on the boat, My biggest love is God and my family. If it wasn't for my grandkids, I probably wouldn't get out much! They keep me busy! My door is always open, so please feel free to stop by and see me anytime and I would be happy to answer any questions you might have about Hood UMC.

Communications
Welcome to Hood UMC! I’ve been married to my husband, Jeff, for 24 years and we have 2 grown kids. We are both from this area and love living here, but we love to travel! During football season, we are either hosting the K.C. Chiefs watch party or going to one. I’m office staff, but have a long list of things I do here at Hood. I was raised in the Baptist church, but when I started looking for a church home 8 years ago, Hood UMC was where I wanted to be. I immediately felt comfortable here like I was part of a family. Once I got my husband coming to church with me, he loved it as much as I do! There are many opportunities available at Hood UMC, so make sure you check them all out! If you have questions about any of the opportunities available here at Hood, I’d be glad to have a cup of coffee with you and talk about it. I’d love to get to know you!

Emily Wright
Youth Leader
Welcome to Hood UMC! My name is Emily Wright and I am the Youth Leader here at Hood! I am married to my husband, Jason, and we have one son named Landon. I am a special education teacher at Republic and my son goes to school there as well. Go Tigers! I have lived in Republic since I was in 1st grade and grew up here. My husband and I are high school sweethearts. When we aren’t at church or at school- you can catch us at a sport event or cheering on our Tigers! I’m currently working on my masters in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Jason works at Cox Health. In the summertime, we enjoy spending time with family, going to the lake, fishing and watching baseball. We are huge Chiefs fans and enjoy going to games each year! My passion for working with youth ministry has always been rooted within helping students grow in the journey as a a Christian. I had so many memories growing up in youth group including going on camp and mission trips. At 15, I became called to ministry knowing God would use me in some way to help students or children. I have discovered that when you choose to work within your passions, you will work and lead in ways you never thought possible! I believe that church gives all students a place to feel loved, valued, and safe. Students are able to amazing things for the glory of God
